After graduating from Hawaii Preparatory Academy in 1977, I attended Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman, Washington, where I studied Animal Science. I decided to continue at WSU to earn an advanced degree in veterinary medicine in 1984. Shortly thereafter, I returned home to Waimea, and started working with Veterinary Associates Inc. I've been in the community ever since.
As a long-time resident, veterinarian, rancher, and small business owner on the Big Island I understand the stark and challenging times we face. I know that together, we can and we will overcome these obstacles to build a stronger Hawaii.
